The Collaboratory is Open
First off, I would like to welcome everyone. I had been giving much thought to starting this club for awhile. It seems it finally all came together. I would like to also to thank everyone for all the support over the past week. The outpouring of support and people asking if they could help in anyway has been nothing short of amazing. Again, thank you!!!
The purpose of this DA account is to showcase collaboration efforts. By definition, collaboration is "the act of working jointly." What we are interested in is abstract, 3-D, space, and vector art. While we may be interested in other types of art, this is what we are interested in hosting. Please do not submit drawings, photos, paintings, fractual and, traditional drawings. Some of the work we want to host may have some of these elements, but can not be the dominating nature of the piece.
Here are the rules:
You will need to have programs capable of doing 3-D, abstract, vector and, space art. Experience with these programs is necessary. You will have needed to work with another individual on the piece you are submitting. It is a collaboration between two artist - take your time on the piece. Collaborations have a tendency to be rushed. Take your time - we want to host your best work!!! Show respect to all deviants within the club and their deviations. What you do with your account on your time is your business. Negativity, flaming and name calling will not be tolerated!!Submitting work:
YOU MUST BE A MEMBER TO SUBMIT!!! Prior to submitting work, you and the other artist that created the piece, MUST decide who will host the piece!!! We will link both artists but only one artist will have the hosted piece. YOU MUST HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE OTHER ARTIST to have the piece hosted here. In order to have your work hosted, simply note us with the subject labeled "collab" with a link to the artwork. The note MUST come from the artist hosting the piece. Please allow 24-48 hours to have your submission hosted. We have our accounts to work with and other activities - so be patient and give us some time. Please post your work first before noting us for a submission - remember to include the link! You can submit two pieces per 24 hour period Please refrain from submitting work older the two weeks old after joining - we do not want to flood the gallery with old submissions. DEVwatch us and send a note to us saying you want to join Please include a link to a collaboration you have worked on in the past, so we can see where your skill level is and help us make a decision on your eligibilty. If for some reason we feel your skill set is not adequate enough, don't give up, we'll check up on your work in a month or so to see where you are at.Information:
If you have trouble finding an artist to do a collab with, note us, we'll do our best to try to hook you up. From time to time we may have a contest and the winners will have a journal feature - make sure your work is on point - you could be featured. We will have a Collaboratory Pack in the future - so keep this in mind. We're still working on the details and how we want to handle it. If you have any questions at all please note

This community took some effort to get off the ground! Please show your support as best as you can. This could be as simple as telling your buddies or adding a tag in signature. We want to see this community blow-up and flourish. There are so many talented artists out there; then get two of them mixing styles and mediums - the possiblities are endless. We think this should be shared with all. Please help our community grow!!!
